4. Retrieval: Only you, with your keys, can decrypt your data

4.2 What This Means for Privacy

• We cannot access your data: Encryption happens before data reaches any network
• We cannot be compelled to provide your data: We don't have it
• Your data persists independently: Even if Moon One LLC ceases operations, your encrypted data remains accessible on decentralized networks
• You control your data: Only your cryptographic keys can decrypt it

4.3 Third-Party Networks

Your encrypted data may be stored on independent, decentralized networks including:

• IPFS (InterPlanetary File System)
• Arweave
• Public blockchain networks

These networks are operated by independent third parties. Moon One LLC does not control these networks and is not responsible for their privacy practices. However, because your data is encrypted before reaching these networks, they cannot read your information.

5. Data Retention

5.1 Our Servers

We retain account and usage data for:

• Active accounts: Duration of account existence
• Closed accounts: Up to 30 days after closure
• Usage logs: Up to 90 days
• Payment records: As required by law (typically 7 years)

5.2 Decentralized Networks

Data stored on decentralized networks is outside our control:

• Blockchain data: Permanent and immutable
• IPFS: Persists as long as nodes pin the data
• Arweave: Designed for permanent storage

You are responsible for understanding the persistence characteristics of networks you choose to use.

We implement appropriate security measures including:

Our Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
